Special Note:
This tried and true formulation has been produced by TNS for over 15 years. Occasionally, for unknown reasons it has small black flecks appear in it. We call this "fall out" and it is the result of a small amount of the preservative system falling out of solution. When it occurs here in our facility, we simply filter these flecks out. Should it occur once it is in your possession, we recommend you do the same. The flecks are insignificant and do not harm the base, nor do they change the product or its use, but may be considered unsightly.

Shelf Life

Skincare is food for the skin.

The two goals of fresh and natural, mean a natural product should be fresh and a fresh product should be natural. The normal anticipated shelf life of a natural product is about 1 year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. The actual shelf life of the product may be longer or shorter depending on how the product is altered, changed, stored, packaged and handled before sale to the final consumer. If ingredients are added to our bases and stock products, you’ll want to consider if they will shorten or change the shelf life and stability of the product.

In general, it is up to the company that is selling to the final consumer to determine the anticipated shelf life of the product. Currently the FDA does not require expiration dates on cosmetics or skincare products. Consider being conservative about expiration time frames and encouraging the consumer to use up the product while it is fresh (3-6 months) or discard it after the time frame has pasted.

It is the responsibility of the customer to conduct appropriate research and development on the use and safety of each item they order before retailing this item to the final consumer.

Modification tolerances:

1% - 10% oil based ingredients

All modifications should be done incrementally and in small batches to establish desired results.
