Bakuchiol ( Psoralea corylifolia ).Bakuchiola naturally occuring antioxidant and is a meroterpene (a chemical compound having a partial terpenoid structure) in the class terpenophenol. It was first isolated in 1966 from Psoralea corylifolia seed and was called Bakuchiol based on the Sanskrit name Bakuchi of the plant. Bakuchiol is mainly obtained from the seeds of the plant Psoralea corylifolia.Although bakuchiol doesn’t fully function the same way that retinol does, bakuchiol does not disappoint when it comes to results. Bakuchiol is safe for all skin types, ranging anywhere from oily and dry skin to those with more sensitive skin.
Cosmetic Uses: Extract can be used in skin and hair care products, lotions and creams.
