Bergamot ( Citrus bergamia )
is derived from the oil from the rind of the bergamot orange. The fruit is from the Citrus bergamia tree and resembles a cross between a lemon and a lime.

Source: Plant parts used may include bark, bud, root, oil, leaf, juice, natural essence, oleoresin or extractives, protein hydrolysate, distillate or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis, which contains the flavoring constituents obtained from plants, spices, botanicals and vegetables. Contains absolutely no artificial flavorings.

Appearance: Golden Yellow, opaque, oily liquid.
Odor/Note: Characteristic of bergamot.
Solubility: Oil Soluble, Insoluble in water.
Flash Point: 550 - 600º F
Smoke Point: 375 - 425º F
Specific Gravity: 0.920 - 1.100 @ 25º C
HLB: 7
Usage Rate: Typically 0.5% - 3.0%. These oils are very concentrated and a little goes a long way.
FDA Guidelines do not limit usage rates.
