Burdock Root (Arctium lappa), also known as Greater burdock, Edible burdock, and Lappa Burdock, is a biennial plant of the Arctium (burdock) genus in the Asteraceae family, cultivated in gardens for its root used as a vegetable.

Burdock Root is composed of glycosides and tannins as its active principles and also has flavonoids, volatile oils, resin, polyacetylenes, inulin, mucilage, and essential oils.

Cosmetic Uses:

Burdock Root Extract can be used in skin and hair care products, lotions and creams.
